How to spread a PVC tablecloth on a glass, shiny, varnished table?

Place the PVC tablecloth on the table with the folded edges down so that it straightens and takes the shape of the surface.

After straightening the tablecloth, pour water into any sprayer and add 1-2 drops of detergent (e.g. Ferry). Wet the canvas and surface generously with the spray solution.

Then apply to the surface and smooth the edges. Smooth with a plastic spatula or cloth from the center to the edges to remove water from under the tablecloth.

If you follow the instructions, the tablecloth will stick well and there will be no air bubbles under it. The foil will be well stretched and will be almost invisible.

In the case of lacquered or glossy surfaces, you need to either squeeze out the air from under the silicone tablecloth or put napkins, fabrics, or tablecloths.

  • Operating temperature: withstands temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for most applications, however it is recommended to avoid direct contact with dishes with a temperature above 80 degrees.
  • Interesting fact: if defects appear on the surface of the furniture, flexible glass will make them invisible. You can put anything under the flexible glass - ribbons, confetti, photos, drawings.

How to care for flexible glass?

Flexible glass does not require intensive cleaning, just wipe it with a soft cloth. If you have heavy dirt, use dishwashing liquid.

What temperature can it withstand?

The material can withstand temperatures up to 80 degrees because it is a PVC film, not silicone. Items with a temperature of no more than 80 degrees can be placed on it. If it is a cup of hot tea, the temperature of the boiled water is 100 degrees Celsius. If you place the hot mug directly on the material, there will be a direct heat transfer of 100 degrees. THEREFORE, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND PLACING CUPS WITH HOT DRINKS ON MATERIALS WITHOUT STANDS (this applies to vessels above 80 degrees, we recommend placing stands under such vessels).

Color and scent

Elastic glass is a plastic, like any artificial material, it has a slight smell at the beginning, which disappears completely after 2-3 days.
The glass has a pigment - a blue shade, which is added so that your glass does not turn yellow over time and does not lose its appearance, this shade is visible only after twisting, after spreading the glass on the surface - the shade will not be visible.
